Retina and cataract surgery
These two major procedures make up the bulk of our ophthalmology activity. Cataract surgery by phacoemulsification is performed on an outpatient basis with implantation of a high-quality intraocular lens. Vitreoretinal surgery treats complex conditions (retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, epiretinal membrane) using state-of-the-art instruments, allowing optimal visual recovery.
Cataract surgery
Phacoemulsification is the reference technique for removing an opacified lens. Performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia, this procedure lasts about 20 minutes and allows a rapid visual recovery thanks to the implantation of a high-quality artificial lens.
Vitreoretinal surgery
Vitrectomy is used to treat retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage and epiretinal membranes. State-of-the-art instruments (high-speed vitrectome, endolaser) ensure precise and safe surgery.
Ophthalmic emergencies
Our department provides 24/7 care for ophthalmic emergencies: eye trauma, acute retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, and corneal perforations. A dedicated team ensures rapid intervention to preserve the patient's vision with the best chances of functional recovery.
