Geriatrics
The geriatrics department is dedicated to the medical care of elderly patients. Our geriatricians assess the patient as a whole — medically, functionally, cognitively and socially — to offer appropriate, respectful care.
Standardized geriatric assessment
The comprehensive geriatric assessment analyzes the elderly patient's cognitive, nutritional, functional and psychological status. This multidimensional approach helps identify frailty and develop a personalized care plan.
Common geriatric conditions
Falls, dementia, hospitalization-induced decompensation syndrome, malnutrition, depression, pressure ulcers and drug-related iatrogenic effects are managed by a multidisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers).
Home support and coordination
Our geriatricians work with medico-social teams to support patients remaining at home under the best possible conditions. Coordination with family and caregivers is an integral part of our approach.
