Urology
The urology department manages conditions of the urinary tract and the male genital system. Our urologists provide diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical urological conditions, from urinary stones to urological cancers.
Urinary stone disease
Management of kidney and ureteral stones combines extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), laser ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy depending on the location and size of the stone. A complete metabolic work-up is performed to prevent recurrence.
Urological oncology
Prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers are managed by a multidisciplinary team. Prostate cancer screening by PSA testing and prostate ultrasound is performed during consultation. Treatment decisions are validated at a Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (MDT).
Functional disorders
Urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, voiding disorders and recurrent urinary tract infections receive specialized care combining urodynamic assessment, medical treatment and minimally invasive surgery.
