Hematology
The hematology department manages diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs. Our hematologists provide diagnosis and treatment of anemias, leukemias, lymphomas and coagulation disorders.
Malignant blood disorders
Leukemias, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and myelomas are managed by our hematologists in collaboration with the oncology team. Chemotherapy protocols are administered in a dedicated unit.
Anemias and coagulation disorders
The investigation and treatment of anemias (iron-deficiency, hemolytic, aplastic) and coagulation disorders (hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, thrombophilia) are supported by a complete biology laboratory.
Transfusion and apheresis
The department manages the prescription and monitoring of blood transfusions in strict compliance with good transfusion practice. Therapeutic apheresis techniques are available for specialized indications.
